MAPS is delighted to announce that our very own Teresa Martucci and awesome team member was nominated for and won a Sutton Community Award in the Improving Lives category.
Last night, Teresa, our local superhero was honoured for her outstanding service to volunteering at a glittering event attended by The Mayor of Sutton and was presented with her award by Cllr Dombey. She was recognised for her substantial efforts in supporting children and young people and changing their lives for the better.
What you may not know about this wonderful lady is that not only does she work for MAPS but she is also a volunteer. Teresa has been supporting children and young people as a volunteer mentor in Sutton for over 10 years now and has helped an abundance of young people through some very difficult and dark times. Teresa really has been that trusted person, that hand holder, that listening ear, or that shoulder to cry on for so many young people and wow, has she made a huge difference.
Teresa embodies volunteering, charity and community, she is a real inspiration to us all and we could not be prouder of her.
Please join us in saying Congratulations Trees, you’re one in a million.
